“Rescued From Hell” Pastor and Evangelist Carmelo Brenes

Our Church of God of the Full Gospel has the honor to present the testimony: “Rescued from Hell,” with pastor and evangelist Carmelo Brenes.

In 1982, I had an accident in which I died. In the moment that all my existence ended, I felt everything become dark, and I began to walk through a dark tunnel. I saw a being that was taking me and began to hear screams and moans. I understood that my life had been taken from me; I ceased to live on the earth. But the most terrible thing was that as we were going through the tunnel, the fear inside of me was increasing more and more. I knew that, although my body was already dead, I was alive in some place. We walked for a while inside that tunnel. Suddenly, I heard groans and moans that I had never heard before. As we continued walking inside that cold and dark tunnel, I began to see big, gigantic snakes that moved from one place to another and to hear different moans and groans. There was something very peculiar about that place: almost all the people in that place had something in common. They were all thinking about and crying out for water at that moment. We continued going until we arrived at an open place like a plateau with many chambers and divisions that contained different people.

I began to cry out with terror and beg God for mercy. I began to tell Him, “Lord, remember my life! Have mercy!” In those moments, a feeling of terror invaded my soul. I felt like my whole life was passing before my eyes once more. I was walking with the being that took me. As we approached a door, I shouted, “Have mercy on me my Lord; have mercy on me! I beg you to help me! Help me Lord!!”

March 25th, 2007,on a sunny Saturday afternoon at 2:35 PM, I came home from helping a friend and lay down to take a nap. All of a sudden, the right side of my bed started to roll like a wave of water as I was laying on the left side of my bed. I did not feel the bed moving, I only saw it moving.

Well, I am a born again Christian and I know to call on the name of Jesus when these things happen. So I started pleading the blood of Jesus over my bed then bam! I was standing up on the floor behind my bed. I remember standing there and thinking to myself, how did I get up here without remembering and who is this woman laying in my bed?!? And why is my bed still rolling like this?

The Angel of Death

Instead of rebuking it I said Lord I can’t take it any more. I don’t care about the prophets, I don’t care about my job, I don’t care about my automobiles, I don’t care about my home, I don’t care about anything else. I’ve got to get this pain off…I can’t take it any more. I had gotten so weak…I could not fight it any longer. So I remembered what Jesus said when he was hanging on the cross. “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” And when I did that the lights went off. And just like that my spirit left my body and immediately …now I didn’t go through that long black tunnel that Dr. Moody writes about in his “Life after Life”,…no I didn’t. I passed by so fast those bright lights at about a 45 degree angle toward the north. You sing that song, Psalms 48:1,2, “beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion on the sides of the north, the city of the Great King”. That’s the direction I was going in.

Holy Spirit, thank you for being present here today.  I praise You for wanting to touch so many hearts.  Glory to God in the highest heaven!

It has been 15 months since Aldo’s accident in June last year, and I’m sitting here with a grateful heart.  You won’t believe what I’ll tell you today about what I have come to realize.

Father God, thank You for allowing the accident to happen.  I know it wasn’t Your will, but You allowed this to cross our paths.  Because if it hadn’t, my eyes wouldn’t have been opened, & I wouldn’t have been where I am today.  And for that I will forever be thankful to the Lord.

About Aldo: I know the Lord is on a special journey with him.  As He is with every member of our family.  And whatever is happening in your life today, no matter what the circumstances are, remember Romans 8: Everything works together for good for those that love the Lord.

It was just another hot August night to the four men and myself who were all set to make a routine parachute jump. Flying conditions were poor, due to the combination of intense heat and high humidity. I wasn’t concerned though, I was a professional skydiver and had worked in a demonstration team before crowds of thousands. Not all in the plane were as relaxed as I was. It was one man’s first jump; for another it was only his forth. Skydiving was my life – nothing else mattered. It had won my heart since I witnessed a display by a Parachuting School. the progression, from my first jump to my first free – fall, was rapid. I was obsessed – no amount of time or money was too much to spend. Eventually I was jumping with some of the world’s best skydivers.
